Not too long ago, this area offered only a few seedy clubs, the skeleton of a once-famous garment district, a fledgling enterprise called the City Museum, and a brave new entrepreneurial restaurant effort called the Tap Room. Today sees the Loft District as a vibrant and growing center of stylish urban living. Old warehouses have been transformed into stunning loft restaurants, bars and boutiques have populated the storefronts of architecturally beautiful buildings. 1 mile figure 8 race course! Start finish in front of Schlafly Tap Room (St. Louis’s 2nd biggest brewery) at 22nd and Locust. From 40 east bound exit at market street go west to Jefferson north to locust east. From 40 west exit Jefferson north to locust east. Your best bet from hwy 44 is to try google maps. Jefferson is closed south of 40
